Simon fitted an oak wardrobe in our bedroom a couple of years ago now and every day I wake up and gaze adoringly at his beautiful creation! I gave him a brief of making us a simple wardrobe to fit quite a tight space as we were desperate for extra storage room due to the arrival of our second child. When Simon showed me what he had crafted I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. The attention to detail was incredible - he had made use of the natural lines in the oak to create what can only be described as a piece of artwork. Simon did two projects for us over in Mirfield. Firstly a completelyhand built set of cupboards made to measure for our walk in wardrobe in our master bedroom and then a set of drawers and shelves for our large gallery landing linen cupboard. Both projects were awkward shapes and sizes with sloping roofs, beams etc. Simon produced excellent designs and was very open to suggestions and add-ons. His work and craftmenship offers excellent value for money. His work is first class and our walk in wardrobes are the envy of all who see them. Simon is very pleasant to work with, nothing is to much trouble and it is all about the finish and quality and whether you are happy with everything. Simon takes great care in your house, cleans up and is polite and courteous at all times. We gained confidence from him straight away, visiting his workshop really helps give comfort and you can see the work he does. Confidence and trust is especially important these days with many dodgy companies, but Simon is certainly NOT one of them. At last my vinyl collection has a good home!‎
Having had an attic dormer coversion done over last summer, we needed a bespoke solution to the best use of a rather large, awkward shaped,alcove. After much head scratching and a couple of visits to Ikea, we decided to engage a professional cabinet maker, and found Simon Rickles via a recommendation from a work colleague. Simon visited, to view the space and take some measurements, and then designed, built and fitted a cabinet unit and shelving that not only looks splendid, but also completes the room and finally I now have a home for a vinyl collection that has been taking up floor space for two decades! I cannot fault the craftmanship, choice of materials, care taken over the installation or the service we recieved. Simon himself was a real pleasure to do business with.‎
